Climate change dilemma

The photos above were taken on Sunday, 1st October 2023, on the cliff path overlooking Hackley Bay, NE Scotland.

And yes that is my owner Gail wearing a short-sleeved tee-shirt, and no she is not shivering, despite not having much in the way of built-in padding.

I too was plenty warm enough, even though Gail had been (very much against my wishes) stripping my furs to "keep me looking tidy" the day before.

Let me remind you that here in Aberdeen we sit at c.57ÂșN, which is the same latitude as the southern tip of Alaska.

We know that the climate emergency is real, and that actions by humans are in large part responsible for the accelerating changes in weather so many of us around the globe are experiencing.

But how does one persuade people living in a chilly corner of the world that it's a bad thing to be able to go for an autumn walk beside the North Sea and relax in the sunshine with one's friends without being bundled up like an Eskimo?
