Happy Nature Friday friends!
It's been a good week in the Nobby and Gail household, for a whole variety of reasons. I aced a rather complex set of manoeuvers (including weaves) at my agility training session on Tuesday; on Wednesday night the England football team defeated the Netherlands to reach the final of the Euro 2024 tournament and at almost the exact same time Gail's pub quiz team, for whom I of course hold the crucial role of mascot, also scored a narrow victory; then we have the fact that the UK has a new Prime Minister who is at the very least a big improvement on the previous five; and today, perhaps best news of all, it has finally stopped raining...
In between all the showers over the past few days we made it up to Hazlehead Park, where the rose garden is in full bloom, and so I am pleased today to present a whole bunch of roses to our dear LLB Gang friend Rosy.
Who knows, next week, I might even be able to locate some sunshine for Sunny!

ReplyDeleteWell, Nobby, you totally aced the rose factor!!! It's good when you can tick off a whole list of pawsitives like that, eh? Gives a whole new perspective to life. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Congrats on all those wins!
ReplyDeleteAnd all those roses are so pretty! Rosy will be proud of yo!u
The roses are so beautiful and with all of the rain you've been having, they are looking very crisp and pretty!
ReplyDeleteWell done, Nobby - it all augurs well for your competition.
ReplyDeleteThe roses are so beautiful. Did you smell them all?
Beautiful flower beds and roses! As for agility, nice job! I did agility for a while and it is not easy. Weaves were my favorite thing to do, though. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeletenot this is a ROSE GARDEN! wow.. white one is my favorite, yellow is number 2 but its hard to rate them. they are wonderful and so are you for adding to your set
ReplyDeleteRoses for Rosie - how very sweet of you. Congratulations on the acing the agility (is that like Strictly Come Dancing for k9s?), and congrats for your contribution to the pub quiz win. The football (being a kiwi) I don't really understand or appreciate (that passed me by) and as for Prime Ministers I'm reserving my judgment. At least the pound is moving in the right direction for my personal plans - I doubt the new government has done anything much to influence that other than just 'be'.
ReplyDeleteBravo Nobby and things are looking grand for you and Gail in your agility event.
ReplyDeleteGlad to read the rain is stopped...FYI...it is here and we are happy it has been so dry.
What beautiful roses for Rosy!!
Happy Nature Friday
Hugs Cecilia
You sure have lots to celebrate, Nobby. We love seeing all those beautiful roses. It's too bad that nobody has invented smell-o-vision so we could enjoy their beautiful scent too.
ReplyDeleteKudos to you sweet Nobby ~ gorgeous floral photos but you are better Nobby ~ I am always glad to see you having a good time ~ hugs,

So good to hear you had a fine week with all those grand things happening. But the crown jewel is for sure the gardens - what exquisite roses!!! Thanks for sharing

Nobby, after a busy and eventful week I am glad you and Gail both took time to stop and smell the roses! Roses are my favourite flower so I loved seeing your post. If you are trying to find sunshine for Sunny it is currently clear blue skies, a light breeze and 15 degrees Celsius here in Auckland, NZ, which is mid-winter so time for me to pick of the last rose buds, then spray and prune my rose bushes.
ReplyDeletePick "off" not "of" :)
ReplyDeleteBeautigul roses. Remember, when you are at trivia, one bark for bad, two for good.
ReplyDeleteAre you having trouble commenting on my blog? What is happening when you try and comment? Help please ~ thanks,

Keep practicing those weaves Nobby! We are going to an agility show next week to support our friends. Oscar will no doubt just want to run, but then that's whippies for you...
ReplyDeleteAll those pretty roses made us swoon! And good going for all the other things that happened for you in the week! Can you send some of those good vibes over here across the pond? Please?
