Things are looking Rosy

Happy Nature Friday friends!

It's been a good week in the Nobby and Gail household, for a whole variety of reasons. I aced a rather complex set of manoeuvers (including weaves) at my agility training session on Tuesday; on Wednesday night the England football team defeated the Netherlands to reach the final of the Euro 2024 tournament and at almost the exact same time Gail's pub quiz team, for whom I of course hold the crucial role of mascot, also scored a narrow victory; then we have the fact that the UK has a new Prime Minister who is at the very least a big improvement on the previous five; and today, perhaps best news of all, it has finally stopped raining...

In between all the showers over the past few days we made it up to Hazlehead Park, where the rose garden is in full bloom, and so I am pleased today to present a whole bunch of roses to our dear LLB Gang friend Rosy.

Who knows, next week, I might even be able to locate some sunshine for Sunny

Well, Nobby, you totally aced the rose factor!!! It's good when you can tick off a whole list of pawsitives like that, eh? Gives a whole new perspective to life. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. Beautiful flower beds and roses! As for agility, nice job! I did agility for a while and it is not easy. Weaves were my favorite thing to do, though. Happy Friday!

  7. Roses for Rosie - how very sweet of you. Congratulations on the acing the agility (is that like Strictly Come Dancing for k9s?), and congrats for your contribution to the pub quiz win. The football (being a kiwi) I don't really understand or appreciate (that passed me by) and as for Prime Ministers I'm reserving my judgment. At least the pound is moving in the right direction for my personal plans - I doubt the new government has done anything much to influence that other than just 'be'.

  9. You sure have lots to celebrate, Nobby. We love seeing all those beautiful roses. It's too bad that nobody has invented smell-o-vision so we could enjoy their beautiful scent too.

  13. Nobby, after a busy and eventful week I am glad you and Gail both took time to stop and smell the roses! Roses are my favourite flower so I loved seeing your post. If you are trying to find sunshine for Sunny it is currently clear blue skies, a light breeze and 15 degrees Celsius here in Auckland, NZ, which is mid-winter so time for me to pick of the last rose buds, then spray and prune my rose bushes.

  14. Beautigul roses. Remember, when you are at trivia, one bark for bad, two for good.
