A new dawn?

First of all, to let you know what a generous and thoughtful chap I am, I want to show you the WhatsApp message I sent Gail's cycling group (revealingly known as 'Scones R Us') yesterday morning.

Now on to Nature Friday.

Well since it's mostly been - for reasons I think you'll understand - sedate city walks this week, all I have to show you is some sunrise photos captured during my break of day outings in Duthie Park.

Gail says these images are appropriate to signal the "dawn of a new era". Perhaps you can figure out what she means. Beats me...

Once again thank you to our dear friends, the LLB Gang, for hosting this, our favourite blog hop.

Well, Nobby, that sky is something to gawp at, fur sure... and pawfeckly acceptable for NF!!! How thoughtful of you, too, to alert the Sconners that they'd have the company of Gail for at least the morning and light lunch part of the ride! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

    1. Gail replies: Nobby early morning reports on weather conditions in Duthie Park are eagerly anticipated by the Thursday cycling group, especially in Winter when ice is a threat.

  2. Nobby, you've been very lucky to get even a sedate walk this week. It's very good of you to allow Gail to go out with her friends - I'm sure she appreciates your generosity.
It's been day after day of torrential rain here, and when we finally went out yesterday afternoon for our first walk since Sunday, it was a quick stroll round the block. We had to turn back twice because the road was flooded!
Yes, we have a good idea what Gail means by "dawn of a new era" and hope she's not disappointed!
Lovely photos by the way - the sun catching those clouds is quite fantastic.
    Love,
    Indy xx

  4. that last photo is spectacular! so glad you could welcome the day, and with it so early there were no canine friends to tempt you to run and play. soon you will be able to romp with the best of them.. the sunrise is pawfect and our favorite time of day.. the first thing I do when I get up is pick up the phone and check the outside temp and the predictions for the day, the second thing is look at our indoor thermometer to check the house temp.

  5. That is generous of you Nobby - no one round here asks for my permission to go out on bikes. Actually I need to keep my head down when the subject of bikes comes up - I have been threatened with being the test pilot in the Burro. paw smacks Mr T

  6. Nelson seems most concerned about you since he is a boy but we have assured him many boys have that surgery and are fine. Hope you get back to normal activities soon.

  13. Well, hello, Nobby. I'm sure you're feeling better now. Gilbert understands that he will have to experience whatever it is you've gone though, but he's only 14 weeks old and yet to be allowed out into the wider world. Learning fast, though! Nice of of you to allow Gail some freedom in your world.
