All in a day's work

I headed off up my first ever really big hill. (Morven).

I paused to sniff the heather.

I made it to the top and admired the view from the summit shelter

I was stood my ground despite the fierce wind at the altitude of 872 m.

I avoided the showers on the descent.

I went for a paddle in the river on the way home.

I even swam a little.

I then photobombed a wedding celebration...

What did you do on Tuesday?

  2. Nobby, G went to school in a small village called Morven in NZ. Guess where it must have got its name from (and she says she grew up swimming in rivers that look like that one), and MY Tuesday wasn't nearly so exciting as yours. I spent an hour at the seaside in the cool of the evening (cool being a relative term) looking for cicadas and lizards. Paw smacks Mr T ps F is very envious of your 'environ'

Well, Nobby, congrats on that first big climb - but I must say I am surprsied Gail didn't keep you attached to the walking string in case you took off like a kite!!! Good to see your swimming talent emerge... and a wee birdy brought to my attention that you may have cocked that leg. Big boy club duly joined &*> Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. now this is a day full of memory making. and you will forever be in the wedding photos. I love your markings, they show up more now that you are a big boy. you had more excitement in one day that we have in a month. Beau says to tell you his day ended with him staying home alone for over 2 hours because daddy had an allergic reaction to something and had to go to urgent care. he is on the nasty prediszone for 7 days and is ok, but still has the angry red rash

  6. What a lovely day for conquering the Really Big Hill. And who wouldn't want an extra WFT guest at a wedding?

  7. OMDs Nobby OMDs Nobby you did indeed have a grand and glorious
Tuesday. BOL BOL that wind was ruffling up your fine WFT coat but what a gorgeous view. Jumpin' catfish you found a babbling brook and a furry friend too. You have perfected the doggie paddle. And you found a bride.
Geez my Tuesday might have been a bit less eventful. Here is what I did
    1. washed linens
    2. walked to the bottom of my cul de sac to water my neighbor, Jane's, flowers, put her garbage bins on the curb and OH yes I met a new friend too.
His name is Rigs, he is a golden retriever. He is a new neighbor who lives next door to Jane. OMDs did he have a happy wigglebutt.
    3. Bryan and I both went to our groomers to get our fur shaped up.
Yes pale in comparison to your day.
    Hugs to you and Gail

  8. You sure had a day full of adventure and discovering new things, Nobby. We aren't too keen on getting in the water, but you even took a little swim.

  9. My word - what an exciting, and eventful, day you had yesterday Nobby! Well done for making that really big hill all the way to the top.
You had a swim in the river too - a with a Labrador! If that had been my human's Labrador Sultan, she would still be trying to get him to come out of the water! He, and her first girl Lab. Peppa, were real water babies.
I had a hosepipe shower and shampoo on Monday morning - that was enough water and excitement to last me all week!

    Love,
    Inca xx

  10. OMD Nobby, all that and it's not even the middle of the week yet! Our Tuesday wasn't half as fun...although we did get CeCe back, so hopefully there will be fun on the agenda soon!!

I wonder what your Wednesday will hold??
    xoxo,

  11. We didn't have anywhere near the fun you did, Nobby!!! It was a scorchingly hot day, so naps in the a/c suited us best. That swim time looks like a whole lot of fun.

  14. What a fun day you had!

We were locked up in the house for hours...so boring...cause petcretary had to take pawppy to the neurologist, and then she went to the grocery store. And when she got home we helped her water the plants...and watched her pick up stuff all over the yard with her shovel...
Not the most exciting day att all, BOL!
