We used to carve bouncy balls out of the kelp stalks Nobby - you are right, fun, plastic free, and just fine to throw back in the sea when you are finished with it (or in F's case, dig it into her garden).
What fun you had with that kelpie Nobby! Dogs are not allowed on the beaches in our town, so I've had no chance to check out what fun you can have with kelp. Although Carol says we just have ordinary seaweed, which is nothing special. It's cleaned from the beaches first thing in the morning, so I'd have to be up super early to see it! Love, Paca xx
Hari Om Well Nobby, this seems to have been your "priceless" moment! And proves that nature provides the best entertainment. Hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx
Nobby that was 87 kinds of fun. I have never ever seen a full piece of kelp either. Thank you.. Kelpie bol. Imagine a WFT and a Kelpie combo...that would be one hopping fun pup faster than the speed of light Hugs Cecilia
Thanks so much for making Mama smile Nobby! Sea kelp was Angel Arty's most favorite toy at the beach. He also like to roll in it after he was done playing with it! xoxo, Rosy & Sunny
We loved watching you play. It made our Lady smile and she loved, loved, loved, hearing the waves. Lee and Phod who are getting too old to play but do think that looked like fun

Fun in the sun and dancing shadows - who could ask for anything more?
ReplyDeleteThat kelp makes a great tug toy! Happy Friday, Nobby!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun. You need to grab it and take running so your mom can chase it a bit too, LOL! If we were off leash that is what we would do.
