Weekend victory

I think I made it quite clear on Saturday evening that I didn't approve of my owner spending all weekend reading a book about horrid Mr Putin.

Thankfully it seems Gail got the message and on Sunday afternoon she took me for a lovely walk through the trees and heather up Millstone Hill

The temperature was 26ÂșC, which in Scotland counts as scorching - see my tongue hanging out in the picture above. So obviously I needed to find a nice muddy ditch to cool off in.

Is there a problem?

  1. Mud is very good for the skin, Nobby.

  2. Oh Nobby, you bad lad! Mud might be good for the skin but it's terrible for the fur! Did you get a bath when you got home?

Well, Nobby, I just hope there was a nice CLEAN stream for you to dunk in on the way back down! hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx (who thinks that book must be worth Gail's time if it was enough to have you looking so desparate!)

  4. Ummm Yes there might be a problem, what if you tried putting the muddy head on the book. MOL... KIDDING! don't want you to get in more trouble. while you were scorching we were frying at 36 c here.. the hottest summer of our lives. it dropped to 25 c over night and it felt so good walking with beau, but the humidity has us sweating and dripping wet and we are headed right back up to the same today. also where we walked was not nearly as beautiful as yours views

    1. Gail is curious to know how you are getting on with the Putin book. She is finding it fascinating and alarming - especially regarding the greed of the London-based financiers - but does get a bit lost among the complex financial transactions..

  6. OMDs Nobby you made it crystal clear to Gail and were even trying to mark her place. I trust you had a rubadubdubinthetub too.

  7. We don't approve of Lady reading any book all day, but that book looks especially not good. We are so glad you got a wonderful adventure out of it! Lee and Phod who are staying close to home these days

  8. You sure made it clear to us that Gail should have put down that book right away! We think your mud bath was a great way to seek revenge for making you wait until the next day for your hike. BOL!

  9. Some humans pay good money to get bathed in mud Nobby. They should take a leaf from YOUR book.

  10. We are so happy that you put an end to that book and got to go for a glorious walk and we hope you dodged the bath once you got home.

  11. BOL!!! No problem that we can see!
Nobby, you are just too cute...and Mama says that it can't be any worse than the good smelling stuff (ummm ok, maybe it was skunk poop) I rolled in this afternoon....Hopefully your bath was shorter than mine....

  12. Getting muoddy is the best revenge. Don't have your mom tell me how the book turns out. I want to be surprised

  13. We hear that mud baths are quite good for the coat and skin, Nobby. Sadly our walks never seem to include any muddy ponds or the like. Misty is like you - she paws at Mom when she is on her laptop, hitting all the keys or even worse, drooling on the keyboard. But we pups gotta do what we gotta do to get their attention.

  14. Rosie and Baby do that to me too. Heaven forbid I give my attention to some old book, or my phone, or a puzzle instead of to them!

Loved the amazing views from your walk, Nobby. I could do without the mud bath, though.
