Sometimes, when there's not much going on in our Aberdeen street, I take a break from guard duty at the front window and enjoy a wee nap.
Gail tells me that her first dog, Hamish the Westie, also used to doze off perched on the back of the sofa, but 'Bouncing' Bertie never even climbed up there.
Apparently, I should enjoy the peace and quiet while it lasts. Two of Gail's American friends, Marse and Nikki, arrive on Sunday for a 12 day visit.
I am instructed to be on best behaviour throughout their stay....
Er, seriously?
A perfect spot to watch the street.
ReplyDeleteWhat adventures and excitement await, Nobby. Of course you'll behave.
ReplyDeletethat is a good place to spy in da hood... we sadly are too... umm.... well da back of the sofa is too small....

ReplyDeleteWell, Nobby, I am willing to bet that even at rest, you are on alert! As for the visitation behaviour rights... you'll have lots to show and tell, of this I am certain! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
You look comfy up there Nobby, and have a lovely view.
ReplyDeleteI'm in trouble, apparently I've been a very naughty girl. I have shredded some vertical blinds in the room called a naya - like a Conservatory with a proper tiled roof. It's where I sleep and I did it in the middle of last night, then barked to wake Carol up to show her what a clever girl I'd been! She wasn't best pleased and I got a telling off! I can only agree with you, humans are very funny about some things we do aren't they?
Love,
Amber xx
12 days of 'best behaviour' is a tall ask isn't it Nobby? Surely the visitors would better enjoy a full-on Nobby than the dull silent treatment. Paw smacks Mr T
ReplyDeleteWhat a great view from up there and comfy too!
ReplyDeleteI am sure the naughty nobby will come out at least once or twice, but lately you have been so good and the nice nobby is in appearance more and more. age changes us for sure. Humans sometimes get MORE naughty as they age. enjoy your visitors and looking forward to reading all about it
ReplyDeleteNobby you will truly be King of your Castle. I bet there will receive a ton of attention and head pats. There will be lots of gabby and chatter for the next 12 days so rest up and perhaps order some ear plugs.
ReplyDeleteI love that perch you have
Hugs Cecilia
That's a great spot for a nap and to keep watch over the neighborhood, Nobby. We can't wait to hear all about the adventures you take Marse and Nikki on during their stay with you.
ReplyDeleteWait a minute Nobby....aren't you always on your best behavior???
ReplyDeleteI also like to snooze on the couch while gazing out the front window!
xoxo,
Rosy
You look quite comfy, Nobby. We never get to go on the furniture here [ something to do with all that fur:). We love having company - lots of attention coming your way we hope. Be a good boy and we know they will love you.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Angels Joey and Chester used to sit on the back of the sofa and watch out the window for all possible invaders, and give a loud warning when they see anyone.
ReplyDeleteI love that spot too. I hope your mom's friends don't cause unrest.
ReplyDeleteHopefully those ladies will be wonderful and love on you Nobby, so that you won't need to do naughty things to get attentions, BOL!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have any strategically placed couches for us to use as lookout perches.
That is an excellent perch to keep an eye on the goings on Nobby! And you will be the first to spy your friends who are coming to visit...they better bring some good treats for you, right?
