MIA

Oh I do want to apologise for being Missing in Action over the last few days.

I was never warned that I would be staying in what Gail calls a "Doggy AirBnB' while she went off with her friends cycling around Peebles and Melrose in the Scottish Borders this week.

So the nice couple I stayed with did send Gail some pictures.

And Gail seems to think some of you might like to see a few photos from her trip too (although the appeal of looking at images of sweaty cyclists rather escapes me...)

Normal service will be resumed on Monday. I have to say Gail looked just a teeny weeny bit exhausted when she picked me up earlier this morning...

  2. It looks like both you and Gail were having a great time, Nobby. The countryside is just beautiful!

  3. I think you had the best of the situation Nobby. Gail and her friends may enjoy cycling, but it doesn't look that much fun with those grey skies and wet roads.
Much more fun to snuggle up in Millie's bed, which I must say looks very cosy.

    Love,
    Inca xx

Well, Nobby, pawhaps the lack of warning meant you didn't have time to do anything but accept the situation - which it rather looks like you did!

Ahhh, the Eildons ... and that looks very much like Talla Water behind the group, and presumably all went via Meggat Valley too? It is very beautiful country... Nobby, pawhaps one day Gail will take you hiking there too! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

    1. Well identified YAM-aunty. Gail says she highly recommends riding up what is, in cycling circles, apparently known as the Wall of Talla, should anyone want to give their legs and lungs a good workout!

  6. actually I am happy we did not know in advance about your being left with a sitter. this way we know it ended well and no Nobby's were harmed in the making of this story. so glad you did not have to stay in a kennel, which sometimes happens. love that beautiful sky and welcome home to both of you

  7. Nobby what a lovely B&B with your very own BFF Millie who is obviously very nice letting you share her bed.
Gail all we can say is YAY FOR YOU WELL DONE and WTG. WOW I was a wee bit tired just viewing the photos.
    Rest up
    Hugs cecilia

  8. Looks like you had a swell time. Cycling is OK as long as you get to sit in the basket on the handlebars (you might not sit still enough). F loved the views around the cyclists and hopes that Gail enjoyed her exhausting experience (there are different kinds of exhaustion and that kind is by far the best). paw smacks Mr T

    1. Gail says she might not like carrying an extra 7.5 kg (and still growing) up a 20% gradient...

  9. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at the Doggy AirBnB, Nobby. It's nice that you let Gail enjoy a biking trip with her friends, too.

  11. You were better off being pampered Nobby - really you would have got terribly tired.

  12. I think you go the best of the deal, Nobby! Playtime with a friend seems much more fun that being on a bike tour...BOL!!
Miss Gail, you sure saw some magnificent scenery!!

  14. First, we are very glad you have been able to come up with some activities to help keep Gail mentally sharp. This is very important. Second, your pup B and B looks much nicer than camp, even if it is still not as good as just being with Gail. Lee and Phod

  15. It looks like Gail had a wonderful trip on her bike, we are filled with admiration for her adventures for sure. Looks like you had an adventure too Nobby, and had a nice playmate. Boarding isn't too terrible, but it is a challenge to find the right situation, like our mom has with us two!
