We are family!

On Sunday morning my extended family of Aberdeenshire wire-haired fox terriers met for a woodland walk on the Leith Hall estate.

On arrival I was delighted to spot my big brother Rupert, one year older than me.

Even better, our parents turned up too. Front to back we have Jimbob (dad), myself, Rupert, and Vikki (mum),

After a brief 'meet and greet', us pups set off in purposeful fashion for the bluebell woods, with the humans trailing behind, nattering away of course.

As time went on, it is just possible that Rupert was finding my insistent attentions a teeny bit irritating.

What are little siblings for, if not to be a pest?

Of course, when I am home with my human family I am always impeccably behaved and never ever a pest.....*

  1. What a beautiful portrait Nobby. It sounds like you had a great day out with the extended family. (Was there a picnic and sandwiches to follow?) paw smacks Mr T

    1. You won't believe this Mr T, but when the walk ended Gail went off to the tea room with one of the humans (Annie), leaving me in the car. They returned an hour later bearing tell tale signs of scone crumbs...

Well, Nobby, I am glad you got to gather with the clan... though you may over-egg your welcome if you play up the pesky wee-bro angle too much. Must say, though, that the pawtrait of you with Gail is outstanding. It tells the tale of that exact moment in both your lives when everything was 'nice'...wishing you many more such moments! hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  6. BOL BOL Nobby... it makes Gail look very much in control when you are kinda 'well behaved' away from home. Nobby your family is beautiful Rupert was probably a bit naughty at your age too. Now of course he is quite a sophisticated WFT.

  7. Nobby, what a lovely time you had, and you are a lucky boy to be able to meet your immediate family. Not too many dogs get to do that, and you had a good morning out.
Sad about being left in the car while the humans go off to scoff scones - they can be like that sometimes. If it's any consolation, I'm left at home now, where it's cool, so I don't get chance of any crumbs of anything, like I do in the winter. I have complained, but as my human explained, when she came back from shopping this morning around 9:30 it was 35ยบ in the sun, and far too hot to leave me in a parked car, even in the shade.
That's a super photo of you with Gail.

    Love,
    Inca xx

  8. What a fun family reunion. I must say your dad is quite handsome with his gingery head. And mom is lovely too. But the very best is seeing you with your loving human mom!!!

  9. We have a local 'whippie' group that includes some of Oscar's siblings (full and half) - it's usually a speed fest, and definitely one for the beach and not the coast path. Whippets and cliffs definitely do not mix - being fast in body, but rather slow in brain... shhh...I didn't say that!

That picture of you and Gail does need to be framed...if nothing else, to prove that you are a "very well behaved" WFT!
