A quick postcard from Nobby

Dear friends,

I've been having a lovely time down here in Nottingham, despite an unsettled tummy... Thankfully neither Janet nor Gail's sister-in-law Kathy got cross with me for vomiting on their carpets.

Surely it was not the yummy decomposing carcass I found in the undergrowth when walking beside the Cromford canal on Saturday that caused the problem?

We all know Gail enjoys exercise and please don't worry, she's been getting plenty what with all the running back and forth with buckets and mops and bottles of carpet stain removing solution...

I am now on a diet of small spoonfuls of rice and chicken and I'm looking forward to a gentle walk with Gail's relatives Sue and Martin later today.

Meanwhile, here are a few pictures of our trip so far. None involving regurgitated food.

Toodle-oo!

  1. Nobby, so sorry to hear your digestion has been upset. Hope you're feeling happier now. Even sorrier to hear that Gail has been hauling buckets and cleaning agents back and forth.
Roxy was ill a few days ago so was on very short rations for a day or two.

  2. Do you actually like chicken and rice? Enough to eat another unsavoury thing? Your new friend Ted certainly is text book 'cute' pooch. Good to see that he behaves like a real dog though (you are a real dog aren't you Nobby). If Gail had a canoe like that purple one would you ride in the bows like that or try to jump in the water?

  9. Oh Nobby, it's no fun to be sick and especially when travelling. I hope you're back to full speed quickly. Ted looks like a charming little fellow. The picture of you in the Derbyshire countryside is very nice, one of my favorites.
