When your owner says "Nobby, there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes"...
...she is not necessarily correct.
And when she says "Nobby, but surely you don't want to stay inside all day lounging around on the sofa in front of the cosy warm fire, just because of a few drops of rain"...
...she could be wrong about that too.
Oh and by the way, it was not "just a few drops of rain", it was an all weekend long deluge. And I would also like to point out I was not the only member of the Gail and Nobby household to be doing their fair share of lounging around on the sofa this past couple of days!
ooh your have the pawfect survival equipment... ... well done.. we still have 29 °c ... totally odd....
ReplyDeleteNobby, who could blame you? It's no fun going out in a deluge unless you're a Labrador! We are surprised that Gail wanted to leave that chocolate we noticed on the coffee table, but we think it is quite safe with you to keep an eye on it.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Paca xx
Gail replies: trust me, the chocolate was only on the coffee table for as long as I was there to keep a VERY close eye on it!
DeleteCarol says that Sultan, her first Labrador (Gail may remember he won the award for the longest time between pees!) once helped his Grandma (Carol's Mum) eat quite a big box of Thornton's Continental chocolates. It's well known that chocolate is bad for dogs, and when they phoned the vet to find out what to do, the vet said "Well he's a Labrador, it probably won't have much effect" and it didn't!
DeleteI don't blame you for battening down the hatches. Duvet days are good!

ReplyDeleteWell, Nobby, as I also endured that garden hosing from the sky, I am not at all surprised that Gail resorted to wine and chocolate. I trust there was a top notch chew stick for you also?! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx (who is starting to wonder if she would have been better off buying a barge instead of a van...)
you did what we would do for sure. but then we do that most of the time and we have NO rain or cold. but today it is a glourious 68 degrees and feels so good
ReplyDeleteI would be lounging right along with you, Nobby!
ReplyDeleteWe're right there with you, Nobby. It's bad enough we have to go out in the rain to do our "business". BOL!
ReplyDeleteNobby I think maybe you should renegotiate the fine print the weather portion of your contract ...
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
Nobby, you certainly look handsome in that bright rain jacket.
ReplyDeleteHi Noddy from Canada! Your rain coat looks very good on you!! :). Juno
ReplyDeleteYou can dress lkike George Clooney but your feet still get wet in the snow. You look marvelous in your coat.
ReplyDeleteBOL, I feel ya Nobby.
ReplyDeleteSometimes a cozy weekend in is the best way to spend the weekend....especially in rainy weather!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Sunny & Rosy
It was rainy here too….and our Mom still took us to a farm to take farm dog tests and herding tests…it’s like she doesn’t realize, collies are made of sugar and might melt if they get wet! BOL
ReplyDeleteNobby, when F was living in Norway (in winter) she met a kind of 'paint' dog (Gail will explain) with a very shaggy coat. It had a snow suit that covered everything except its face and it's toileting parts. It even had shoes! It went mountain trekking with its hooman in really deep snow. Icicles formed on any part of fur exposed to the snow.
ReplyDeleteWe did see petcretary looking at the rdar over Scotland and the whole country was almost covered in a big green amss...of RAIN!
ReplyDeleteWe had drizzle off and on, which was a lot better than the buckets we had over the weekend...almost 7 inches or so over four days.
