First sighting of Duthie Park crocuses

Oh I can't even begin to express how thrilled I was to see all these beautiful crocuses springing up in Duthie Park!

So I raced across to Gail, confident she would agree that we had the perfect subject matter for this week's Nature Friday.

Can you believe she tried to pour cold water on the idea, saying my predecessor Bouncing Bertie had posed in the crocuses several times, and before him Hamish the Westie, and that really, the whole concept of 'terrier posing in the early spring flowers' was old and tired and could not be regarded as in any way special. (Between you and me, there's a possibility that it's Gail who is getting old and tired, and I think she should consider herself very fortunate to have a bright young pup around to help her see the beauties of nature with fresh eyes.)

So anyway, it took me a quite while to convince my human that, since I have never encountered crocuses before, they seem very special to me. Eventually she agreed to take a few photos of me 'posing nicely'.

I hope you like the pictures.

Happy Nature Friday!

  2. Never mind if it's all been done before Nobby, we are delighted to see you posing so beautifully amongst the crocuses.
Next it will be daffodils - and then you'll know it's spring!

  3. Beautiful posing, Nobby, and we can never have too many photos of handsome dogs among the flowers. As you say, the crocuses are new to you and thus the photos are new, too.

Well, Nobby, I fur one am glad you convinced Gail... these are glorious shots (and I would add that your pose with the snowdrops last post did not go unnoticed, either!) Haven't seen any flowers in the pots along the promenade here, yet - but lots of shoots and promise! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  7. Crocus flowers sure do become you. And we may have seen flowers before but not those flowers and certainly not with you sitting in them. They are happy flowers and you are a happy dog and we love you no matter what background you're in

  10. Dearest Nobby there is always room for and tons of enjoyment when seeing every dog pose amongst the crocuses.
I bet if Gail looked back to former poses she will find your 3 first poses EXCELLNENT and OMDs that WFT flight across the field is award winning.

  12. Posing in spring flowers is always fresh, just as spring itself is a refresher every year. You didn't happen to squash any while you were bounding about did you? Your portraits make our crocus offering look decidedly Spartan. Paw smacks Mr T
